Support & contact
One address, read by a person. Most things below you can fix in under a minute; anything you cannot, write to us and we will.
Write to us
English or Turkish. We answer within two working days, usually sooner. If it is about a purchase, include the date and the Apple ID region — never send us a password, a card number or a receipt with payment details on it. We never ask for any of those.
Before you write
- How do I cancel my subscription?
- In iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Faye → Cancel Subscription — not inside the app, because Apple owns the billing. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- I paid, but Faye says I am not subscribed.
- Open Faye → Settings → Restore. That re-attaches an active subscription bought with the Apple ID currently signed in on the phone; check it is the same one you paid with. Still nothing? Email us with the purchase date and we will look it up.
- There was no scene waiting this morning.
- Scenes are written overnight and delivered at the ritual time you set. Check the ritual time in Settings, check that notifications are allowed for Faye in iPhone Settings, and check the phone had a connection during the night. Then open the app — if a scene was written it is at the top of the home screen, whether or not the notification arrived.
- It will not play, or there is no sound.
- Check the silent switch, and the volume while audio is playing — media volume is separate from ringer volume. If a Bluetooth device is connected, the sound may be going there. If one particular scene is stuck, leave the player and reopen the scene to fetch it again.
- How do I delete everything?
- Settings → Erase account in the app. The server deletes your data first, then the app wipes the local copy — that order, so nothing is left stranded server-side. Deleting the app alone does not do it, because the device key survives in the iOS Keychain. We will also do it for you on request.
- I want a copy of my data.
- Ask at [email protected] and we will send everything we hold, in a readable format, within 30 days and free of charge. Details in the privacy policy.
- I got a new iPhone. Do my scenes move with me?
- Not automatically. Faye identifies your device with a key held in that phone's Secure Enclave, and that key never leaves the device or goes to iCloud — which is also why there is no account for anyone to break into. A new phone starts fresh. Export the scenes you want to keep before you retire the old one, and write to us if a subscription needs carrying across.
- How do I get a refund?
- Refunds are Apple's to give: reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, choose the Faye purchase. If you have a statutory right of withdrawal where you live, it applies regardless of what Apple decides — tell us.
- A scene landed badly, or said something it should not have.
- Please tell us, with roughly what it said. Faye is written by an AI system and filtered against a list of promise-making and mystical language before it reaches you; when something slips through, the filter is what gets fixed. That report is the most useful mail we get.
- Faye ships in English and Turkish.
- The app follows your iPhone's language setting. If Faye's Turkish reads like a translation rather than like her, that is a bug and we want to hear about it.
If you need help right now
Faye is a writing and listening app. It is not a crisis service, not therapy, and not medical care, and it should never be the thing you rely on in an emergency.
If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number. If you are having thoughts of harming yourself, please reach a person tonight rather than an app: findahelpline.com lists free, confidential helplines by country. In Türkiye, Acil Yardım 112 is available at any hour.
Inside the app, if what you write suggests you may be in crisis, Faye stops generating and shows a support screen instead. That is deliberate, and it is not recorded against you.
Reporting a bug
Send the iOS version, the iPhone model, roughly when it happened and what you were doing. Screenshots help more than descriptions. No crash reporter runs inside Faye — there is no analytics SDK of any kind — so a report from you is genuinely the only way we learn that something broke.
