Terms of Service

These terms cover the Faye iPhone app and this website. They are written to be read. Where the law gives you rights as a consumer, nothing here takes them away.

Effective 28 July 2026 · Version 1.0 · Operator: Faye (fayemanifest.com)

The short version

  • Faye writes and narrates scenes from the life you describe. It is not therapy, not medical advice, and it promises nothing about your outcomes.
  • Free to start. Continued access needs an auto-renewing subscription, billed by Apple and cancellable in iPhone Settings.
  • What you write stays yours. We use it to write your scenes, and for nothing else.
  • The scenes Faye writes are yours to keep, listen to and export — for yourself.

1. Agreement

By downloading or using Faye, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Because Faye is distributed through the App Store, Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement also applies to your licence to use the app. These terms sit alongside it and describe the service itself. If the two ever genuinely conflict on the licence, Apple's agreement governs that point.

2. What Faye is — and what it is not

Faye asks about the life you are moving toward and writes short, specific scenes from it, then narrates them. That is the whole product.

Faye is not:

3. Who can use Faye

You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live if that is lower and a parent or guardian agrees to these terms on your behalf. Faye is available for iPhone on iOS 17 or later.

4. Your device, instead of an account

Faye has no sign-up. Your iPhone holds a cryptographic key that identifies it to our server, and that key is what your scenes are attached to. Keep your device secure: anyone who can unlock your phone can read what you have written. If you delete the app and reinstall it on the same device, the key survives in the iOS Keychain and your scenes come back. If you erase the account, they do not.

5. Subscriptions, trials and billing

Faye is free to start — your first scene is written the night you install it. Continued daily scenes and the full series library require a subscription.

6. What you write stays yours

Your onboarding answers, notes, photos, voice memos and everything else you put into your board remain your property. You give us a narrow, revocable licence to store and process that material for one purpose only: operating Faye for you — writing your scenes, narrating them and delivering them at the times you chose.

We do not use your material to train AI models, do not sell or license it to anyone, and do not use it for advertising. Delete an entry and it leaves the writing too; erase the account and it is gone entirely, as described in the privacy policy.

7. What Faye writes

The scenes, affirmations and audio generated for you are yours to listen to, download, export and keep, for your own personal use, for as long as you like — including after a subscription ends, for anything you have already exported.

Please do not republish or redistribute the generated audio and text as a product of your own, or use it to train a model. The app itself, its name, its design, its voice and its underlying software stay ours.

8. Generated by a machine, read by a person

Scenes are written by an AI system from what you gave it. That means the text can occasionally be wrong, awkward or off-key, even with the checks we run against it. Read it as writing, not as fact or instruction. If a scene lands badly, tell us at [email protected] — that is how the writing improves.

Faye is deliberately built to make no metaphysical claim, and its generated text is filtered against a list of promise-making language. If something slips through that filter, we want to know.

9. Fair use of the service

Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the app or the server; do not automate access to it; do not use Faye to generate content that is illegal, or that targets another person. We may suspend access that is doing damage to the service or to somebody else.

10. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Faye running, but we do not promise uninterrupted service — networks fail, Apple's services fail, and ours can too. Features may change or be withdrawn as the product develops. If a change materially reduces what you paid for, you may cancel and, where the law requires it, receive a proportionate refund through Apple.

11. Ending it

You can stop at any moment: cancel the subscription, erase the account in Settings, delete the app. We may end or restrict access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly breached, or if we are required to by law. If we discontinue Faye entirely, we will give notice in the app in time for you to export your scenes.

12. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Faye is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, opportunities or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to Faye is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim arose.

None of this limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or the statutory rights of consumers in the EEA, the UK, Türkiye and elsewhere.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there — this clause does not deprive you of that.

Before anything formal, please write to [email protected]. Most things are a misunderstanding that an email fixes.

14. Apple-specific terms

Because Faye is delivered through the App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Faye. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. We — not Apple — are responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability, legal-compliance and intellectual-property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

15. The rest

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Not enforcing something once does not waive it. We may update these terms; the effective date at the top changes and the app tells you before a material change applies. Continuing to use Faye after that means you accept the new version.
